Kitchen Sandbox™ Indoor Sand and Water Table - Ash Hardwood

Sand and water tables can be found in many early childhood classrooms. We have designed a simple and modern version for the home - in hopes of giving more kids the freedom to get their hands dirty - indoors!

The Kitchen Sandbox is an indoor sand and water table with a colorful lid that allows it to function as a sturdy work table for children. It is adjustable to two different heights to accommodate growing kids. And when they grow up, it makes a fine bedside table!

The Ash version is made from urban Ash Hardwood, harvested and milled locally.

The Reclaimed Pine version is made from soft, warm, reclaimed pine gathered from old mid-western buildings.

The knock down construction ships and assembles easily.
The base is constructed from solid wood .

The inner box is constructed with formaldehyde-free birch plywood, clad in solid wood.

The colored top is also made from formaldehyde-free birch plywood, clad in a strong orange laminate with a solid wood edge. The plastic tub is 7" deep and extra strong.

It is finished with a natural tung oil and a natural beeswax polish.

* A note about our finishing products: We use a food safe tung oil finish - formulated WITHOUT any added chemical driers (which often contain heavy metals). It is completely safe for you and your child - and for us!
